Kaitlynn Elizabeth Pillion is from Plainfield, IL and is a senior photography major at Columbia College Chicago. She started to experiment with photography at a young age and with the encouragement of her mother the two would go on road trips together to explore what the world had to offer. As a Native American woman, she has found inspiration in her relationships with other woman but most especially her mother and sister. The important roles they played in her life have been reflected in her work through numerous projects in a variety of ways. Her relationship with her family has guided her to a strong sense of identity, values, and culture.
